New Mega Kit offer!!!

Yup a new mega kit challenge is about to start. Crafty scraps is having what she calls a CT caboose challenge. All of her CT's are making things for one huge mega kit, and all you have to do is participate by making a LO for the caboose mega kit. You make the LO and post it with your email addy in her forum here under CT caboose and she will send you the kit. How cool is that!!! This all starts on February 1st, and the 1st of every month will be a different challenge and a different mega kit. This is different from your usual blog trains, because you don't hop from blog to blog to get the kit, you pick it up in one place and thus the name "Caboose" was born. LOL! You can click on the button below to get to her forum and join in on the fun. But remember it doesn't start until February 1st--and because it's the month of Valentines Day it is a love themed mega kit. I hope you are all getting as excited as I am for this fabulous new kit!

As you all know I am trying to pull off this surprise party for my honey. I used our neighbors as an excuse to get him to go to the party by saying they invited us to a party on Sunday--he asks what kind of party???? Uhhhh! I think she said it her birthday--she must have a birthday around the same day as yours. He says--did you get her a gift? Why no-she said no gifts. He goes would you feel comfortable going to a party without taking a gift or something?? So I had to go out and buy a gift for our neighbor!!! Just to keep the surprise a surprise!HAHAHAHA!! My neighbor is going to love her gift though!!! The good thing is she really does have a birthday soon--hers is on the 31st--so now she gets an early gift!LOL!! The things we do to try and keep a secret. LMAO!!


I finally finished my mini kit for DSO's color challenge by Kimb's designs. DSO is going to be closing down as of February 1st for a whole new face lift! The forums will be closed, and the gallery will be closed--but I do think the store will stay open, not quite sure about that tho. Anyways on January 1 they moved the challenges to a challenge blog so that we can all continue to participate in all the awesome challenges they have to offer. I absolutely LOVE Kim's color challenges, she has such a knack for coming up with beautiful color swatches, so I was sooooo excited that they were going to continue all the challenges on this special blog. New Wordart!!

First of all I must tell you all about a surprise party I am planning for this weekend. I was telling my daughter about 1 1/2 weeks ago that I had thought about having a surprise getogther for my honey--but there was just no way I could do it without him figuring it out. So she talked me into doing it along with my DIL. They said that they would do all the cooking and getting the hall ready. So now I only had 1 1/2 weeks to pull this all together. Last weekend I bought all the food and distributed it all to my daughters and DIL's . I rented the hall-and started inviting people! We are up to 36 yes's ! So now I went from not having a party to having one with 36 guests!! So now the girls are cooking up a storm and I'm sneaking out to get decorations, beer and soda--along with some party balloons and preparing to have an awesome PARTY!!! Wish me luck at keeping it all a big surprise right up till he walks in the door!! I LOVE surprises!! Now time for some shout-outs!!

Well I have been busy trying to finish up a few projects so I can get them posted for everyone. First off, I would love to show you some new wordart from Jazzy (wordstodelight) called "What Love is" which you can find exclusively at digi scrap obsession. With Valentines Day just around the corner this is the perfect wordart set for those special pages!!!Here are some pages I made using the new set. The first page I used all Kimb's designs CU thingies and I made the paper. I used a photo from aimee09 off photobucket as well.

This next page I used a new kit by Loucee Creations which you can also find at DSO. I love this kit and Loucee does some awesome work!!!

Happy New Year to All!!!

I know I am a little late wishing you all a Happy New Year, but I have been missing for a while. My New Years Resolution is to get back into my scrapping and blog more often than I have been. But before I get started I have to let you all know what I got for Christmas this year. I tell you I am feeling so blessed and loved!! My dear honey got me a diamond ring! I never, ever dreamed that I would get a new diamond! I was so surprised and soooo happy I cried!! Now mind you, my honey is not the real romantic type---I mean he is romantic in a lot of ways, but when it comes to gifts it's always practical gifts that you can use. So you can imagine my surprise! I absolutely love it! The ring is yellow and white gold with a center diamond and some smaller diamonds around it. I have sent it in to be sized, so when I get it back I will have to take a picture of it and post it for all of you to see how gorgeous it is. He really did good! I am just soooooo lucky and fortunate to have him in my life!!!! I would love to hear what one special thing all of you got for Christmas this year--so maybe when you leave a comment you can tell me your special story from the holidays!!

Now to start my New Year out I am here to blog about my good friend Jazzieal (Words to Delite) and her new word art sets that have just been put up in the store at DSO. Jazzieal has been very busy making some new word art sets and they are pretty neat. I am showing you the three new sets she has introduced this weekend. Two of the sets are "Descriptions for Teenage Girls, and Descriptions for Teenage boys". These two sets are currently on sale for 20% off.

Here is a LO I made using her new wordart set. I also used a teddy bear action from Mistico--it's so cute and for any of you that use Photoshop--the actions are sooooo easy and fun. I also used a border action by incognito. The frame with cluster I made which I will be giving away in a mini kit for the January DSO color challenge. Hopefully I will have the kit ready for you in the next day or two.

I also made a layout from this wordart as well. I used her new classifieds-teenagers

set. I also used some of Kimb's designs things such as the belt, key, ribbon,string, etc and I used a word overlay action by seascraps. I tell you those actions are great timesavers! I love em!!
