Thank you!!

I want to thank everyone who has been coming to my blog and leaving beautiful, encouraging comments. It means a lot to me to to read all the nice comments-and believe me I read them all. I know how busy everyone's life can get, and to take the time to leave a comment is very kind.

This last month time has passed so fast and I can't believe Thanksgiving is only about 2 weeks away, and than before you know it Christmas will be here!! I know that there has been a lot of talk lately regarding traditions during the holidays-and like a lot of others, I too am a traditionalist. For one, Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving without Turkey and all the fixings! Now the fixings do vary from family to family, but Turkey is what everyone has in common, right!!?? I can't imagine Thanksgiving without turkey. Than as for the fixings, our family has mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, cauliflower/broccoli salad, a jello salad, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, corn and hot biscuits. For desserts we always have pumpkin pie, pumpkin bars and apple pie; we will sometimes throw in a chocolate french silk pie too. Christmas is a different story--many families have many different family traditions. We always have a ham for Christmas day and usually we will do a turkey breast or full turkey with it. But Christmas Eve dinner varies. We usually have a beef tenderloin and sometimes lobster. We used to have oyster stew with all the brothers and sisters and their families, but now that the family is so spread out from state to state we have abandoned the oyster stew. We do have a special New Years eve dinner with our children and grandchildren though. Every New Years Eve we get together and have fondue. The kids especially love this tradition. We fondue chicken, beef and pork with about 5 different sauces for dipping. We serve a lettuce salad, baked potatoe and garlic bread with it. We have about 5 different fondue pots and set up at two different tables to fit everyone. What makes it special is we turn off the lights and eat fondue by candlelight. It is soooo much fun, and because you have to cook each piece as you eat it dinner lasts a good 2 hours, and it's a special bonding time. I love to hear about the traditions that other families have too-so if you have a special tradition why not share it with us. I would love to hear about them.
Well this weekend I was working on some LO's and I would like to show you a couple. The first one for the pumpkin season. She really is the cutest pumpkin in the patch!!:)

I made this page using the goodies from the Fall Splendor blog train kit. The wordart used on this page is from Jazzieal's set "Thanksgiving Stamps" which can be found exclusively at DSO. Go check out Jazzy's other wordart sets too. She does some beautiful WA and if you are like me, you can never have enough WA.

This next one I did was for Christmas. I know that it is a little early to be doing Christmas LO's but that is my favorite holiday and I just had to put together a LO to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

I used a freebie kit from WaterLO Project called "Under the Tree" The WA is from Jazzy's WA set Christmas Glam Titles. Found exclusively at DSO (digital-obsession.org)

Well if you made it this far I want to thank you for reading my entire post. I have been given some special awards too--but they will have to wait till next time. I have kept you here long enough. hahahaha! Until next time please have fun and stay safe.:)

Fondue! Yummmmm...! We have steak fondue for Christmas Eve! And we've added deer steak also. That's the only time of the year we have fondue so now you've made me hungry for it. I can't wait for Christmas Eve now! Love all your layouts. I just saw them at Jazzy's site. They're beautiful!
